The KYPCA is umbrella, default, legislation containing a number of important consumer protection elements necessary to protect homeowner’s single largest lifetime investment.

Consumer protections like:

o Adds disclosure to buyers that they are purchasing a Deed Restricted Home including disclosure of the HOA’s Financial Condition.
o Defines Insurance coverage to protect homeowners from HOA liability.
o Establishes Statewide Financial Management and Reporting Standards.
o Adds definitions and standards of Board of Directors’ Powers and Authority
